  • Over half of marketers think that blogging is the best way to generate leads – followed closely by promoting products on YouTube and Facebook.

Studies and surveys have been finding correlations for years, and one 2014 survey of 1,000 UK-based participants revealed 84% of respondents bought products based on what they read in blogs

The whole purpose of a marketing campaign is to generate leads so that the sales department can turn them into customers. Interestingly enough, inbound marketing does a much better job at generating leads than outbound marketing – 67% more leads to be exact. Much of this is from the SEO boost that you get from maintaining an active blog. People performing Google searches on topics related to your content are more likely to be directed to your site.

As you can see, inbound marketing is more than just a fad – it’s something that professionals believe in. That’s because inbound marketing actually works, and it achieves this through promoting organic traffic. In other words, people who come to your site because they’re interested in what you have.
